LEGIS League June 2015 E-News

Welcome to this month’s edition of the LEGIS League E-News. This month we’ll hear from Jeni Brown, who won a getaway trip as the 2014 High Point Trainer at the LEGIS League Medal Finals (Nov 13-16, 2014). Read on!

What is the LEGIS League?

The LEGIS League is an awards program for junior and amateur riders competing at a variety of levels in hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Riders compete in classes falling within the specifications of the LEGIS League categories to earn points toward various LEGIS League Finals strategically located in the west.

LEGIS League riders will get the experience and excitement of qualifying for and competing in LEGIS League Finals, and winning great prizes.

Riders join the LEGIS League and horses they ride are automatically tracked for points. Click here for a membership form.

LEG Trainer Incentive

LEG loves sending our loyal, hard-working trainers on vacation, and many have done so thanks to our trainer incentives. LEGIS also sponsors some trainer incentives, including the High Point Trainer at the LEGIS League Finals, and Jeni Brown of Shadowbrook Stables was thrilled when she won a getaway trip. Her student Rachel Cassar won the LEGIS League Cornerstone Medal Final, plus her riders won several other ribbons in the finals as well, making Jeni the trainer whose students earned the most points. “It was a nice surprise and a great way to finish the year,” Jeni says. “I’m definitely encouraging my clients to qualify and go to the finals again this year.”

Jeni and her husband, Mike Keener, enjoyed the Newport Beach resort. “It’s a Marriott resort and super nice,” she recalls. “They had cute two bedroom condos with really nice amenities and a balcony where we could look out on the ocean. It was really pretty. The resort had three big swimming pools and it was walking distance to the beach. There was a movie theater there and a nice restaurant. You could play tennis, basketball, go to the gym.--just about anything you wanted to do. There are a bunch of cute little beach towns with really good restaurants nearby. We also visited Balboa Island, which is really cute and has all kinds of stuff to do.”

Jeni is very thankful to have received this trip. “It’s just such a nice gift that LEGIS does,” she remarks. “To be able to get away for a couple days is just a great thing. We left on Saturday after lessons and stayed through Monday afternoon. We would never do something like that on our own, so to be given something like that, and it doesn’t cost us anything, is huge. It forces us to get away and take some time off. The financial value is wonderful, but there’s also so much peace of mind to be able to take some time off. All my customers were super excited for us.”

Congratulations to Jeni, and we look forward to hearing from more of our lucky trainers whose hard-working students earned them trips!
